Police in Baringo nab 40,000 litres of illicit brew during the crackdown

Police have nabbed 40,000 litres of illicit brew at Koibatek Sub-County in Baringo County Following a crackdown launched in the area.

According to county Police Commander Robinson Ndiwa, 33,000 litres of Kangara, 3,000 litres of chang’aa and 4,000 litres of busaa were seized. Ndiwa said that they won’t relent on the operation and sent a stern warning to the distillers of the illicit brew business to stop the act.

Devna Cherop a resident of Koibatek esteemed the police officers for the job well done and asked them to continue with the same spirit and ensure the culprits are brought to book for the sake of their families.
