Rihanna join women in protest against Donald Trump

On Sunday this month, January 21, an estimated 3 million marched across the US in opposition to Donald Trump and to stand together for human rights and environmental protection.

Around 100,000 people flooded the streets of London and with an estimated 168 sister marches taking place across the world.

Rihanna, André 3000, Alicia Keys, Grimes and Madonna were among the artists who came out to show their support at the Women’s March protests, with Rihanna turning up to the demo outside Trump Tower in New York wearing a pink “This p… grabs back” hoodie.

“So proud of the women around the world who came together today for pro-choice!” wrote Rihanna on her Instagram.

The ‘Work’ artist was filmed dancing and chanting ‘My body, my choice’ along with the crowds on Fifth Avenue.

“So proud to be a woman!! So proud of the women around the world who came together today for pro-choice!,” she wrote on Instagram.

André 3000 was snapped at the Atlanta march. According to SF Gate, the crowd marching from the Center for Civil and Human Rights to the Georgia Capitol was estimated at 60,000.

Alicia Keys fired up the protestors in Washington with a performance of ‘Girl on Fire,’ also presenting a speech that included a recital of Maya Angelou’s poem ‘Still I Rise’. “We want the best for all Americans – no hate, no bigotry, no Muslim registry,” said Keys.

Grimes, who couldn’t be in Washington, was out marching in Portland, where around 75-100,000 protestors showed up.
