Six confirmed dead, one missing in flash flood accident at Hell’s Gate

The process of identifying the dead bodies of the 7 people swept away by the hell’s gate flash floods on Sunday is ongoing.

The Ol-Jorowa gorge in hell’s gate national park where the 7 perished has been closed indefinitely following the tragic accident. Among the dead were tourists and a guide who were all swept away.

In 2012, seven members of a church group died when they were washed away by floods at the same spot, a dangerous area with gorges in the park, prone to flash floods during the rainy season.
