Idrissa Akuna Elba alias Idris Elba broke millions of hearts Friday 26 April,2019 when he married model Sabrina Dhowre in a secret ceremony in Morocco.
The celebration lasted for three days and included a “colours of the Souk”-themed dinner for friends and family, Vogue reported. The wedding was covered exclusively by Vogue magazine for its July edition.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markel gifted the newly wed couple a £7,000 painting art by the Connor Brothers.
The gift comes almost a year after Idris and Sabrina attended the Royal wedding in May 2018 which saw Megan officially welcomed into the British Royal Family.
Dhowre, an American model, was named Miss Vancouver in 2014. She met Elba on the set of “The Mountain Between Us” in 2017.
Elba has been married twice before: first to Hanne “Kim” Nørgaard (from 1999 to 2003) and then to Sonya Nicole Hamlin (for four months in 2006). He has two children: a daughter with Kim named Isan (born 2002), and a son named Winston (born 2014) with ex-girlfriend Naiyana Garth.
He is Known best known for playing Nelson Mandela in the biographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
Idris is also a rapper and a music producer. One of his greatest song of 2019 is Boasty featuring Wiley, Sean Paul, Stefflon Don – Boasty ft. Idris Elba.
