Following a historical win at the eighth leg of the HSBC World Series in Singapore the Kenya Rugby 7s team has since Sunday last week been basking in their hard-earned glory having had bagged the main cup.
In what has been a series of stately recognitions for the team, on Thursday it was the luxurious Villa Rosa Kempinski honouring the Shujaa, who carried the pride of the country high for the world over to watch.
After meeting the President, the Shujaa were warmly received at Kempinski, where they were treated to a 3-hour fun-filled session.
In honour of the rugby champions, the five-star hotel hosted the team to a high-profile cocktail, was invited and was graced by personalities drawn from corporate, media, government and private sectors.
Villa Rosa Kempinski has been at the forefront rewarding talents and supporting sports in the country, including last and this year’s sponsorship of Sports Personality of the Year (SOYA) which the hotel has assured to once more sponsor in 2017.
