Eight teachers and three Police officers arrested in connection to the lost Kenya Certificate of Primary Examination (KCPE) in Narok County were today arraigned in court and charged with loss of examination papers or material.
The eleven were charged that on the 31st day of October 2018 at Olkruto Division jointly with others not before the court had in their possession KCPE papers namely Science, Kiswahili Lugha and Kiswahili Insha meant for Oloomamuka Examination Center negligently lost such examination papers in a manner prejudicial to the proper and fair conduct of the examination.
The public servants who appeared before Narok Chief Magistrate Ms. Wilbroda Juma pleaded innocent of the charge and were released on a bond of Sh. 300, 000 each or a cash bail of Sh. 200, 000.
The accused were represented by their lawyers Allan Meingati and Kimutai Bosek who pleaded with the court to give them reasonable bond terms as they were public servants and their Bio- data was with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and the Police Service.
