A total of 2335 people have lost their lives this year in road accidents, traffic commandant Samuel Kimaru has said.
He was speaking during a one day training of motorists and boda boda operators in Narok town where he decried that the accidents have increased by 10 percent as compared to the same period last year.
Kimaru challenged everyone to be vigilant in ensuring the number of accidents reduce saying people should report reckless drivers to the police.
The traffic commandant said the training aims at reducing accidents during the rainy and holiday seasons of November and December when many accidents are experienced.
This year, 239 drivers have lost their lives, 529 passengers, 435 boda boda operators, 42 cyclists and 188 pillion.
