6 cops suspended over the deaths of the kianjokoma brothers.

Six police officers attached to Manyatta police stations in Embu North Sub-county of Embu County have been suspended over the death of the Kianjokoma brothers. Isiah Nakoru the Eastern regional commissioner said the details of six officers will be availed once they receive official communication from IG and ODPP.
“I can assure you action will be taken and no one will be spared. I also appeal to the citizens to avail information on errant officers who tarnish the good name of the police force,” Said Nakoru. Nakoru spoke at his office in Embu when he held a regional security meeting with new officers. “Ronald Opili was promoted from Deputy regional commander North Eastern and has replaced Mwivanda who was deployed to Nairobi. Jeremiah Ikiao has taken over as Regional Police criminal investigations from Johna Kirui.

Inspector general of Police Hilary Mutyambai assured Kenyans that justice for the Kianjokoma slain brothers will be served. Speaking during #engagetheIG on Monday, Mutyambai said the suspension is to pave way for investigation that have already kicked off. Mutyambai added that the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations was fully involved in the investigations, adding that it was a multi-agency team effort to ensure justice was served to the two brothers.
