A report has indicated that parents and Boards of Management be educated on the need to adhere to the school entry age policy.
The report that was carried in all the 47 counties by a technical committee from the education ministry.
In its recommendations, the report stated that parents and Boards of Management be educated on the need to adhere to the school entry age policy.
The report further added that they should also adopt alternative means of instilling discipline among pupils such as enhancing guidance and counseling programmes with qualified counsellors.
It also called on the ministry to identify strengths and weaknesses in leaner achievement so that curriculum and teaching interventions can be targeted for maximum effect among other recommendations.
The report was launched on 17th January 2017 at at Kenya Institute of Curriculum.
