Seamus Coleman insisted he has not heard anything relevant in speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United on deadline day in the January transfer window.
The odds have been slashed down to 1/3 with the Everton full-back moving to Old Trafford, leading to some thinking a move could be on the cards.
Jose Mourinho is not expected to enter the market on deadline day as he hasn’t added to his squad this month, he’s also claimed that he’s happy with his players until the summer transfer window.
Speaking about a move, Coleman claims reports linking him with a Goodison Park exit are mere speculation.
“It is that time of year,” he said.
“I haven’t heard about the story. I am preparing for a game on Wednesday and that is all I am concentrating on.”
He was heavily linked with a move to Man United under David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, but there haven’t been any concrete reports linking with a move under Mourinho.
He’s suggested that Ashley Young could depart before the deadline as the Englishman looks for game time elsewhere, however, Mourinho insisted he would love to keep the 31-year-old at Old Trafford.
With Antonio Valencia in fine form it doesn’t look like Man United will make a move for Coleman as the Ecuadorian has already pushed Matteo Darmian out of his natural position due to his spectacular displays.
