The move to resolve Laikipia County commotion following the brutal killing of a rancher on Sunday has led to arrest of about 379 illegal herders according to the police.
making the announcement, the Interior cabinet secretary Joseph Nkaisserysaid that Politicians are key suspects to the laikipia unrests and the government is tracking down the financiers of the violence.
“As I speak to you the police have already arrested 379 illegal grazers who are being processed in accordance to the law,” he said.
“Local political leaders have contributed to this tension by making inflammatory statements and sometimes even inciting headers to break the law,” he added.
