Non American citizens interested in visiting The White House to write to their embassy

Donald Trump had only just announced that the tours would now officially resume, and even crashed the first organised tour for a photo-op.

Metro.uk reports that the President has extremely swiftly enforced measures that will make the whole visit a massive pain for anyone who’s not an American citizen.

The directives issued ordered that visitors from outside the US will now need to apply for places on White House tours – by writing to their respective embassies for assistance.

The White House website states that foreign nationals interested in touring the White House should contact their Embassy to arrange a tour,’ the embassy wrote on its website.

‘However, the Embassy has been advised by the US Department of State that this is on hold.

‘We are therefore unable to process any applications at this time.’

British tourists are able to visit the US Capitol Building, which houses the Senate and House of Representatives, without so much faff – but it’s just not the same, is it.

You can also go on a tour of the Pentagon, but for some reason you will apparently ‘need to submit the British Embassy’s address instead of your home address’.
