Collymore honored with two year extension as Safaricom CEO

Bob Collymore, the Safaricom Chief Executive Officer,  is expected to stay at Safaricom for two more extra years.

This follows an announcement from the telecom operator, Safaricom, that Bob’s  tenure has been extended by two years.

Safaricom chairman Nicholas Ng’ang’a  while making the announcement said the contract extension will enable the telecom operator to navigate possible regulatory changes as well as lead the business’ growth.

This is the second time that the company has extended the CEO’s contract, and after the move by the Safaricom board, Mr Collymore will serve well into 2019.

“The board has decided to extend Bob Collymore’s contract for another 2 years,” Mr Ng’ang’a said during the release of the Safaricom’s full year results.
