16 times Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia are set to play English Premier League side Everton In a friendly to be staged between November 6th -7th in Liverpool, England.
This will be the second time the K’ogalo will face Everton, after their maiden clash in Dar es Salaam on July 13th 2017.Everton secured a 2-1 win over Gor.
Gor secured the chance to play Everton after reigning supreme over eight East African sides to win the 2018 Sportpesa Super Cup that was staged at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru
Change of Date
The match pitting Gor Mahia and Everton was scheduled to be played during the English Premier League off-season in July but was pushed to November due to logistic challenges.
Earlier this year, Coach Dylian Kerr side played English Championship side Hull City at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani. Losing on post-match penalties.
This will be Gor Mahia’s maiden trip to the UK and the first time for a Kenyan Club to play on English soil.
