Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mbrak has pledged to make corruption a high risk venture during his tenure at the anti corruption body.
He was speaking during his swearing in that was officiated by Chief Justice David Maraga.
This comes even as Chief Justice David Maraga defends the judiciary in the fight against corruption saying they are not to blame for withdrawing cases with shoddy evidence.
Taking the mantle from the outgoing EACC CEO Halakhe Waqo, Twalib Mbarak who was sworn into office Monday vowed to tirelessly fight the dragon of corruption in the country.
Mbarak has pledged to make the country an inhospitable environment for the corrupt individuals in collaboration with other anti graft agencies.
EACC Chairman Eliud Wabukala pledging his support to the new CEO and further assuring Kenyans that the war against graft is on course despite the perception that its not.
Chief Justice David Maraga on his part insisted that the Judiciary will not take responsibility for shoddy investigation by the prosecution in the war against graft.
Twalib Mbarak takes tenure in EACC at a time when the calls to disband the commission are rife.
His track record being on the weigh scale to see whether he will propel the commission in the war against graft where his predecessors have failed.
