The government’s Big Four agenda projects risk being stalled if new National Lands Commission officers are not recruited.
This is according to the Lands Development and Governance Institute who today released a survey on status of service delivery in the land sector .
LDGI Chair, Ibrahim Mwathane says the constitutional time frame for reconstituting the NLC is quickly closing in and the country may stand to lose greatly if the commission is not properly reconstituted.
“The current tenure of NLC commissioners is set to end in February and the process of reconstituting this integral body has not yet been initiated” said Mwathane.
According to the constitution, a reconstituting process of NLC would require 90 days..
