Busia Residents Want Compensation over Snake Bites

By Chris Sambu

Families in Busia county want justice to be served for Kenya wildlife service to compensate them on damages suffered over snake bites.

The residents say it has been 4 years after the government promised to compensate them but up to now Kenya wildlife service has made no efforts even after they followed every procedure.

The residents from Matayos constituency are now calling for the government to intervene while asking the member of parliaments to draft a bill that will have victims of wildlife-human conflict compensated.

However, Nambale member of parliament, Sakwa Bunyasi assured residents of justice saying that MPs from the region were making efforts to have the matter resolved.
