Bhang Worth ksh.4.5 Million Nabbed in Kahawa Sukari estate

Kahawa Sukari police officers raided a house in Kahawa Sukari and managed to recover 222 bales of cannabis sativa with an approximated value of ksh 4.5 million that was stored inside the house.The raid happened after the police received a tip off from the neighbors who suspected the occupants of the house due to the loud noises and multiple cars that were seen going in and out of the compound.

The police responded with heist and discovered the bales of marijuana each weighing 5kgs were neatly arranged in one of the rooms of this luxurious mansion.Police commander Kiambu County, Adiel Nyange at the scene warns citizens who are conducting illegal businesses in Kiambu County and assured them that the long arm of the law will catch up with them.

The Member of county Assembly Kahawa Sukari, Livingstone Waiganjo at the scene, thanked the public for working together with the police and urged that the Nyumba Kumi initiative should be enhanced to prevent criminal activities of such caliber.

The police have arrested two suspects who are believed to be peddlers and not the owners of the marijuana in custody; they will help them with the investigation so as to put the master mind behind bars. The two will be arraign in court over possession with intention to distribute the drugs.
