Governor Anne Waiguru is set to open a coffee shop in NewYork, USA on March 16.
“The first-ever Kirinyaga Coffee House will be officially opened in New York on March 16 where our coffee will now be exposed to international consumers,” she told the delegates during the ongoing Devolution Conference at Kirinyaga County.
In her Statement she disclosed that her government has partnered with a New York based firm. The firm will supply up to 4 tonnes of coffee directly from farmers.
Experts had earlier indicated that Kenya lags behind Uganda, Ethiopia in coffee production.
