At least 12 people have been killed and more than a dozen others injured after a Wajir-bound bus collided with a trailer on the Garissa-Mwingi road.
The Sunday night accident involving a commuter bus ferrying 50 passengers and a trailer occurred at Tula area, between Bangal and Garissa town; with reports indicating that the bus belonging to Nasib Sacco rammed the trailer which had stalled on the road.
10 people died on the spot. Two more succumbed on the way to the hospital. Casualties are currently recuperating at the Garissa county referral hospital.
