Idd-ul-Fitr on Wednesday

The Government has declared Wednesday a public holiday to allow the Muslim faithful’s to celebrate Idd-ul-Fitr.

Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiangi paved way for the celebration in a gazette notice dated Monday 03-06-2019.

Ramadhan celebrations are the culmination of 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan.

During the celebrations, Muslims conduct morning prayers which are held in open grounds after this they move on to a huge feast with neighbours, friends, family and the poor.
