Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso has succumbed to cancer. Laboso, 58, died at Nairobi Hospital two weeks after arriving from India. On 29th May this year, Governor Laboso left the country for Britain for treatment.
She was admitted at the Royal Madden NHS Hospital where she underwent treatment for nearly a month. She then went to India for further treatment three weeks ago.
Her death is another blow for Kenya as on Saturday, Kibra MP Ken Okoth also passed on from Cancer. On 1st July, Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore died of blood cancer.
