Hours after the High Court released Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu on Ksh15 million bail, his Deputy James Nyoro took charge of Kiambu.
In the first press conference that he convened yesterday at the County headquarters, Dr.Nyoro, said that his first priority would be to reduce loss of revenue. Nyoro also hinted at making changes to improve service delivery in the County.
The County’s MCAs have stated that incase Waititu appeals and wins, then they will be forced to table an impeachment motion.
Governor Waititu was on Monday charged alongside his wife Susan Wangari Ndung’u, with six counts over a Ksh580 million irregular tender. This followed a recommendation by the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji.
