Grassroot mobilisation to support BBI has kicked off in Central Kenya where politicians led by former Kangema MP Tirus Ngahu working towards educating locals on the need to participate in the national referendum for the interest of the protected constituencies.
Ngahu was addressing the members of the press at Murang’a town centre.
Ngahu says its now time for the people to read and understand that BBI is the only solution when it comes to revenue allocation for the 27 protected constituencies that are in the risk of being added extra wards with no extra resources.
On the other hand, Kiharu which is the largest constituency in Murang’a county, is supposed to be sub-divided in to 2 as per the BBI report but this wont happen if the report gets rejected by the residents.
Ngahu therefore calls upon Kiharu residents to be in full support of the BBI otherwise Gaturi, Wangu or Murarandia wards will be moved to Mathioya and Kangema respectively.
