A SECTION OF MUSLIM LEADERS HAVE CONDEMNED A DISRESPECTFUL ACTION BY TWO MPS AT A FUNERAL IN KISII.

A section of Muslim leaders under the Kenya Muslims National Advisory Council (Kemnac) have condemned Monday’s disrespectful action by two MPs at a funeral in Kisii.

South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro and Dagoretti’s Simba Arati exchanged blows on the podium in the presence of Deputy President William Ruto and ODM chief Raila Odinga.

Kemnac chair Sheikh Juma Ngao said the action was despicable and set a bad example and called on Parliament to punish the two.

The vocal cleric however blamed Osoro for instigating the fight saying he was given ample time to speak and nobody interrupted him.

He called Osoro’s actions cowardly, childish and disrespectful and setting a bad example to the youth generation.

He called on DP Ruto to tame his people adding that legislators don’t fight.
