Kitui senator shocked by the bad state of Kitui Hospitals.

Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua has lamented and expressed his disappointment over the wanting state of most Kitui hospitals where patients are being exposed to numerous dangers due to lack of personnel, equipment, and even essential drugs.
More shocking is the current state of Ikutha Level IV hospital where all inpatients are being accommodated in the maternity ward despite the danger therein, and most patients with various serious conditions are being referred to a nearby mission hospital, owing to the poor state of the hospital.
Even the ambulance in the hospital is currently operational due to lack of fuel and any patient who requires a referral is forced to fuel the ambulance.
Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua has said that the current state of healthcare in Kitui county is not anything to be proud of and called for immediate action to address the matter.
According to the hospital management led by the medical superintendent who said that he isn’t authorized to speak to the press, understaffing is the key problem facing Ikutha Level IV hospital.
