HIGHEST EVER BUDGET OF SH. 8.6 BILLION FOR KERICHO COUNTY TABLED, LEGACY PROJECTS FOCUSED ON.

Kericho County executive in charge of finance and planning Dr. Patrick Mutai has presented the highest ever budget estimates for 2021-2022 of sh. 8.6 billion.
Mutai who addressed the press after reading the budget at Kericho County assembly said the estimates focuses on completing key legacy projects for governor Paul Chepkwony whose is serving his last term.
A total of sh. 4.6 billion was allocated to the recurrent expenditure while sh. 3.67 billion was allocated to development projects.
According to Mutai, the budget will be funded through the equitable share, local collections including those from hospitals and grants from donors and the national government.
Tarmacking of Londiani town and drainage systems  which is 90 percent complete has been allocated sh. 65 million for completion.
Water projects across the county, Roret pineapple plant, Kapkatet drainage works and Ainamoi Sub-county Hospital has also been allocated money for completion which are legacy projects for governor Chepkwony.
