Mystery shrouds the death of a 47 year old teacher from Bointang’are village Nyacheki division whose body was found by the riverside. The deceased ,Evans Matundura,a senior teacher at Nyamuya primary school in the area, went missing for a day before residents stumbled on his body by the side of a local river. According to the family the teacher failed to turn up at home after attending a funeral, prompting a combined search by the residents grass administration.
Wilter Nyanchama,the wife,narrated the chilling experience the family went through anxiety when her husband could not be located. Wailing uncontrollably, the deceased’s daughter, Margaret Moraa petitioned the government to unravel the cause of father’s death. Benjamin Bagaka,a teacher at the school who participated in the search claimed their colleague might have been strangled since the tongue popped out of the mouth.
Bagaka called for respect for teachers and wanted investigations done to determine whether the killers were targeting those in the profession. The body was removed to Nyamache sub county hospital mortuary .
