A student from Chebetet Village in Kiptere, Kericho County has failed to join Form One after failing to get school fees. Jayson Kiprotich, who did his KCPE at Chebetet Primary School scored 310 marks and received admission letter from Tengecha Boys High School. He appealed to well wishers to assist him so that he can realize his dream of becoming a university lecturer in future, promising to work hard if he will get helped. Kiprotich’s mother, who is single is said to have fled away from home as she had no money to pay fees for her son. Anna Sang, Kiprotich’s aunt said she has been staying with him and could have helped him, but due to financial constraints she has no ability. She said she has managed to buy him a box and calling for a fundraiser to assist him did not bear fruits due to hard economic times.
