Has Kenyan Music videography gone explicit?

The Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) has been vigorously censoring content and banning explicit content both movies, songs and publications, and even adverts.

With such music being banned from live TV, P-Unit’s Gabu and Frasha have released video, uploaded on You Tube on 29th June, for their new track ‘Wabe’ featuring DJ Joe Mfalme that some people may term it as explicit.

The video already has garnered over 10,200 views on Youtube, of which many of the viewers may have been driven by the nature of the video.

With some commenting on improvement in Kenyan Music, others were all in doubt whether the vedio will see the screens of Kenyan televisions.

“dope!!!!! Kenyan music is moving up,” one person posted his comment.

“is it only me who finds this video too explicit? i doubt it will get airplay on kenyan media… all in all, good work,” Mogambi was worried.

However he received instant reply.

“wait n see for it to be nominated as the best video n it wins. work ya rihanna na drake inachezwa kila mahali iko na tofauti gane na hii?” Steve wrote.
