AIC KENYA SPEAKS ON POLITICIANS IN CHURCH/ NEED FOR PRESIDENT AND DEPUTY TO WORK TOGETHER.

Africa Inland Church is the latest denomination to support Anglican Church of Kenya bishop, Jackson Ole Sapit’ sentiments on the conduct of politicians in church functions.

Africa Inland Church deputy presiding bishop, Paul Kirui, said everyone is welcome in church including politicians, but should however choose their words when given a chance to speak and respect the service. Kirui, who was speaking during the official opening of South Rift AIC offices in Kericho town, called on all political leaders to exercise tolerance and avoid hate speech as the country heads to the general elections.

He also called on president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to put their differences aside and reconcile for the sake of the country. The bishop said presidency is a simple of national unity and should bring all the communities together.
