A group of youths from Mwingi have invited the Deputy President William Ruto to visit Mwingi town following his recent tour in Kitui county where he didn’t visit Mwingi town.
The group of youths claimed that some leaders from Mwingi led by Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi were against the DPs visit, yet they have done too little to uplift their lives.
They hence said that the deputy president who has been helping youths from other parts of Kenya is welcomed 
to Mwingi to come and assist youths of the region and preach his bottom up economic model and nobody should try to bar him from his democratic right.
Evans Munyambu, a youth who does business at Mwingi town welcomed the DP Ruto to visit Mwingi town and help youths, many who have been rendered jobless by the pangs of Covid-19 pandemic.
Lucy Muthoni, a lady who does hawking business at Mwingi town said that the gates of Mwingi are open for the DP to enter and that nobody should try to undermine him from helping suffering youths across the nation.
Jacob Mutua,a bodaboda rider from Mwingi said that most bodaboda operators were struggling to survive due to unbearable economic conditions currently being witnessed in the country. He lauded the DP for coming to the aid of them.
