Kericho County assembly has today approved sh. 8.3 billion supplementary budget, with 62 percent going for recurrent expenditure and 38 percent for development.
According to Ainamoi MCA Cheruiyot Bett, funds have been allocated for employment of 300 enforcement officers on permanent and pensionable basis.
He said funds to pay salary increment for 200 ECDE teachers has also been approved, calling on executive and county public service board for implementation.
Kapsoit MCA Paul Chirchir said the county is in the right bracket in terms of allocation for recurrent expenditure and development.
He however said the county did not reach the revenue collection target, accusing multinational companies over payment of low rates.
