BOOST IN LONGISA HOSPITAL AS GOVERNOR RECEIVE MODERN MACHINE FOR DIAGNOSTIC

Boost for diagnostic medicine at Longisa County Hospital after Telemedicine unit following acquisition of a Teladoc machine that enables our doctors to virtually interact with specialists and consultants in and outside the country.
The modern machine also helps in surgeries, management of patients as well as training of our medical personnel.
Speaking during the launch,area Governor Hillary Barchok said the equipment from California will be able to link patients with specialists in America virtually.
He also said that the equipment will save the county the cost of hiring consultants.
Barchok said that the doctors at the facility will no longer have to travel to Nairobi or other parts of the country.
Governor Barchok said the equipment is able to relay instant results making it easy to diagnose and treat.
He said the county  also received two ventilators,operation table and two ICU beds to revamp our ICU department.
Governor Barchok also rubbished claims that the county had no drugs saying that Bomet is one of the counties that has been paying Kemsa supplies.
He said the County currently owes Kemsa less than Sh20Million.
Barchok hailed the facility terming it as the best such that he once had his daughter admitted at the facility for two days to instill confidence in local medics.
He said said that the county has trained two doctors on critical health care to offer effective services.
In a bid to further devolve our dental services to our sub county hospitals, we have also acquired a complete set of dental unit that will help de congest the dental unit in Longisa.
The county also acquired an operating table for Cheptalal hospital in Konoin Sub County and we have made arrangements to have the same delivered in the facility as soon as possible.
According to Dr Kirui WK an expert medic at the facility said the equipment can link CT scan that replicate in the teledoc equipment with consultants in any part of the world instantly.
