WOMEN CAUCUS DEMAND SECURITY

A section of women leaders from Kisii County have called for beefed up security ahead of Mama Ida Odinga and Martha Karua’s tour.

The duo is expected to officially launch a number of projects including the opening of Mother and Child care unit and Gender Based Violence rescue center.

While addressing the media in Kisii town, nominated member of County assembly (MCA), Josephine Ombati has said that the facilities will be working in line with Baba Care to help in promoting good health for all.

Baba care is among the priorities set by ODM presidential flag bearer, Raila Odinga.

Jane Justine,also a nominated member, has warned those who are planning acts of violence during the visit adding that the security agencies have been notified and that they will be acted upon according to the law.

Meanwhile nominated MCA, Risper Kemunto has called on the County Commissioner to action, a day after they filled a report over the alleged plans to cause chaos and disunity.
