Orange Democratic Party (ODM) received a major blow when Ababu Namwamba resigned as the party General secretary.
And just before he officially submitted his resignation, another person, Sirisia MP John Walukhe has announced his resignation as Bungoma County Orange Democratic (ODM) party Chair.
Walukhe who was speaking at Mayuba stadium in Bungoma County accused the party leader, Raila Odinga of sidelining western leaders.
Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba on the other hand has vowed to mobilize all Western Kenya ODM MPs to follow his footsteps and exit the party ahead of the 2017 polls.
Namwamba says that this would deny ODM chief Raila Odinga the Western vote in the upcoming General Election.
Although he has not officially given his resignation as Secretary General, Namwamba and Walukhe are now calling on Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to join hands to form united front.
TheVice Chair Paul Otuoma also resigned from his position saying that ODM lacked internal democracy.
