Same will be seen in Nakuru as now consumers will pay Ksh.192.90 for super petrol, Ksh.179.82 for diesel as kerosene will be sold at Ksh.169.56.

The statement also indicated that the prices are inclusive of the 16% value added tax (VAT) in line with the provision of the finance act 2023, the tax laws (amendment) act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per legal notice no.194 of 2020.

EPRA reviewed fuel prices on mid-March where the authority reduced per litre of diesel by Ksh.5.09, petrol Ksh.7.21 and kerosene by Ksh.4.49.

While attending a Sunday service in Nyeri county at ACK St. Peter’s Cathedral, President William Ruto said the fuel prices had dropped by Ksh.10.

“Fuel was at a high cost and you’ve witnessed today the fuel prices decreased by Ksh.10. This is because we are making the right decisions, we are not making popular decisions and Kenya is going to go forward,” remarked President Ruto.

The new fuel prices will be effective from 15th April to 14th May 2024.
