June Moi, daughter of the late President Danie Arap Moi will be laid to rest today on her family farm in Bahati, Nakuru County.
A funeral service will be held at the Kabarak AIC Community Chapel grounds before her private burial ceremony.
June passed away on the 11th of April, 2024, Thursday morning. A statement by her family confirmed her demise as they requested privacy during the difficult period.
June was the youngest daughter of the late President, having been adopted.
June’s body will be transported from Lee Funeral Home to Wilson Airport where it will be airlifted to Kabarak for the funeral Service.
A delegation of Azimio leaders led by co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka, and Eugene Wamalwa among others accompanied June’s family to pay their final respects.
Kalonzo Musyoka described June as a vibrant and exuberant individual. “Even though she was President Moi’s daughter, you never saw that in her demeanor, she was just June, ” Said Kalonzo.
Whenever her dad was engaging political leaders, she would accord them the time and space. She had tremendous respect for leaders,” said Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
