DCI Schedules Autopsy for Mutilated Bodies Found in Mukuru Quarry

In a shocking revelation, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Amin Mohamed, has confirmed that an autopsy will be conducted on Monday, July 15, for the eight female mutilated bodies recently discovered at a quarry in Mukuru.

Speaking during a press briefing in Nairobi on Sunday, Amin emphasized transparency and collaboration, inviting all stakeholders, including family members and the media, to participate in the process.

“We intend to conduct postmortem examinations tomorrow and we are inviting all stakeholders, civil society, family members, and members of the fourth estate because we are not hiding anything,” stated Amin.

“It is our conviction that ultimately, we will be able to resolve these heinous murders.”

The discovery of these bodies, ranging in age from 18 to 30 years, has sent shockwaves through the community. Amin noted that the perpetrators’ methods exhibit chilling similarities, suggesting the possibility of organized crime, including cult activities, serial killings, or rogue medical practitioners.

“If you look at the way the bodies have been disguised and packaged, it is the same. If you look at where the bodies were dumped, it is the same spot,” he explained.

The DCI boss reassured the public that the state has deployed its top investigators to unravel the mystery behind these gruesome killings.

“We have deployed our best investigators. Our homicide team is one of the best and I’m convinced that in the fullness of time, we are going to address this issue,” Amin added

Adding to the grim details, Acting Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja revealed that of the five bags retrieved from the quarry on Saturday, three contained human body parts, while the other two held a dog’s carcass and garbage, respectively.

“Nairobi Funeral Home is currently preserving eight bodies. Investigation reveals that all recovered bodies were females which were severely dismembered and in different states of decomposition,” Kanja said.

The authorities are calling for public cooperation to aid the investigation.

“We appeal to residents of Kware and the country at large to be patient, calm, and give officers time to conclude the investigations so that we bring perpetrators of this heinous act to book,” Kanja urged.

As the nation awaits the outcomes of the autopsies and further investigative findings, the DCI remains resolute in its mission to uncover the truth behind these brutal murders and deliver justice for the victims and their families.
