Kamala Harris Thanks President Biden for His Leadership and Endorsement

The United States Vice President Kamala Harris has thanked President Joe Biden for his leadership as the U.S. president and also extended his appreciation for the endorsement to vie for President after Biden withdrew interest in vying for a second term presidency.

President Joe Biden decided to end his reelection campaign on Sunday for what he termed as the best interest of the country and his Democratic party.

“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this,” he wrote on X.

The Vice President expressed her gratitude to Joe Biden for endorsing her as the party nominee to participate in the White House race come November this year.

“On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and his decades of service to our country. I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination,” she said on X.

She promised to unite the Democratic Party at all costs and ensure that they win the Presidency against Donald Trump.

“I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party—and unite our nation—to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda,” she added.

Kamala Harris said that for the time has worked with Biden he has proven with no doubt his commitment to transform the United States of America.

“As Vice President, I see Joe Biden when the cameras are on and when the cameras are off—in the Oval Office, in the Situation Room, and on the campaign trail. Joe Biden is a leader who fights for the American people,” Kamala Harris wrote on her X account.
