NARC-Kenya Party Leader Issues Notice To Exit Azimio Coalition

NARC Party Leader Martha Karua has issued a notice to exit Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition following nomination of four ODM party officials by President William Ruto to his new cabinet.

The announcement was made through a letter to Azimio Coalition  Secretary General Junet Mohammed  by the NARC-Party Acting Secretary General Asha Bashir dated 25th July 2024.

NARC Party leader Martha Karua stated that the stay in Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance is no longer tenable.

“Kindly take note that our stay in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition is not tenable due to the prevailing political developments,” stated Karua.

“As NARC Kenya by way of this letter, we are giving notice to exit the Coalition as stipulated in the exit clause (s) in the Coalition Agreement. This notice is effective from the date of this letter,” she added.

The NARC-Kenya party leader Hon. Martha Karua also posted the letter on her official X account making a public announcement to exit the Azimio la Umoja Coalition.

Karua’s decision to exit the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition marks a significant shift in the political landscap.This shift represents a notable moment in Kenya’s political scene, with potential long-term consequences for party dynamics, coalition politics, and governance strategies.

NARC-Kenya Party’s sentiments comes hours after ODM Party Leader emphasized that there was no any agreement between the coalition and UDA party in nomination of the four party members in his cabinet.
