This initiative offers a 12-month, non-renewable internship opportunity within various government ministries, agencies, and departments, designed to equip youth with essential skills for success in the job market.
“The Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) is a Government youth empowerment programme whose main objective is to offer college graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build skills to enhance their chances for employment, networking and entrepreneurship,” added PSC.
To qualify for the internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Have graduated no later than 2018.
- Demonstrate proficient computer skills.
Interns will receive a monthly stipend determined by the government and will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion of the program.
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications through the Commission’s job portal at www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke.
The application deadline is set for 2nd September 2024.
Launched in 2019, the Public Service Internship Programme aims to foster youth development and enhance employability by establishing strong connections between education, training, and employment for graduates. Since its inception, the program has created numerous opportunities for over 25,000 individuals.
