State House Spokesperson Denies Allegations That President Ruto Called Morara Kebaso

State House Spokesperson Mr. Hussein Mohamed has come out to deny allegations that President William Ruto has called lawyer Morara Kebaso to offer him a state job in order to silence him after recently becoming popular to Kenyans for fact-checking government projects in all counties.

The youthful lawyer said in a media interview that he was engaged by close-allies of the President before receiving a call from the head of state who offered him a state job since the government is broad in what Morara said ‘serikali ni kubwa.’

During the live interview with Morara, Hussein Mohammed called and rubbished Morara’s allegation and said that never did the President made such a call.

“It’s unbelievable, I’m just shocked at what the gentleman, Morara, is saying. I wonder why he would lie on national TV that the President called him, it’s ridiculous that I have to respond to this…For the record, such a call never happened, it’s a figment of his imagination,” Hussein Mohammed said.

Hussein Mohammed challenged Morara Kebaso to prove to Kenyans that indeed the President called at any point. He further said that he works for President Ruto and there was no such a call from the head of state.

“A lot of Kenyans have the President’s number by the way. Let Morara substantiate that the President called him. He is lying,” he said.

The State House Spokesperson made positive comments about what Morara and other Kenyans are doing for keeping the government in check of what they are doing but urged the public to do it truthfully

“What Morara and many Kenyans are doing is good, its part of accountability and the President welcomes it that is what democracy is all about. But even as we talk about democracy and hold the government accountable, it is important that we do it truthfully,” he added.

Morara Kebaso said that with his call with the President he was promised a state position to stop criticizing the current administration for their wrong doings. He said that being a person of Integrity, he refused to accept the position claiming that the government is corrupt.

“Whatever I was offered, I refused. I believe the government is overcrowded over there. There are enough people over there and being a brilliant person and a person of integrity, I believe that if I go into government, I am going there to be corrupt,” Morara Kebaso said.

He added that there is too much demand for corruption for a state officer to steal money and give to certain people. He said that he will be depressed working in government and preferred his own business rather than the offer.
