AFRALTI, which is known for its commitment to capacity-building across the continent, shared with Dr. Ndungu its ambitious transition from conventional training programs to pioneering research in emerging technologies.
According to the Ministry, focus areas include cutting-edge developments such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), which are pivotal for the technological growth and digital transformation
“AFRALTI informed the CS about its strategic shift from traditional capacity-building programs to cutting-edge research in emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things,” noted the Ministry.
The meeting also highlighted AFRALTI’s plans to engage with global partners to strengthen its research capabilities and foster innovative solutions.
Recognizing the alignment of these goals with Kenya’s digital innovation agenda, Dr. Ndungu expressed enthusiasm for enhanced collaboration between AFRALTI and the Ministry.
This partnership aims to support Kenya’s pursuit of becoming a regional leader in technological advancement and digital economy growth.
As AFRALTI sets its sights on the future, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the institute to catalyze advancements that will benefit both Kenya and the broader region.
“Going forward, AFRALTI will engage with global partners and looks forward to a close partnership with the Ministry to advance Kenya’s digital innovation agenda,” stated Dr.Margaret.
