Kenya has achieved a historic economic milestone, now ranked as the 6th largest economy on the African continent, according to the latest World Bank report.
This achievement comes as the country marked 60 years of Labour Day celebrations, honouring the enduring spirit and contribution of workers to national development.
“Kenya’s stability isn’t just our pride, it’s a beacon for the region,” noted the PCS.
Speaking at Uhuru Gardens during this year’s Labour Day celebrations alongside H.E. President William Ruto, leaders praised the country’s steady political leadership and resilient institutions, which have laid the groundwork for sustained economic growth.
“Under President Ruto’s stewardship, Kenya has upheld democratic values and safeguarded its institutions, proving that economic growth thrives in environments of order and openness,” stated Mudavadi.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, emphasized that Kenya’s political stability, strong governance structures and consistent economic reforms have created an attractive landscape for investment and innovation.
This growth has been further powered by the resilience of Kenyan citizens, who have remained steadfast in defending national institutions and values, even in the face of adversity.
As the country celebrates this economic milestone, it also pays tribute to the hardworking men and women whose dedication and resilience have propelled Kenya forward.
