Kenya Welcomes New Envoys in Strengthening Diplomatic Ties

In a ceremony held at State House, Nairobi, Kenya reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and fostering international cooperation by receiving credentials from six newly-appointed envoys to the country.

The incoming envoys included High Commissioners and Ambassadors from across Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean:

  • H.E. Ernest Rwamucyo of the Republic of Rwanda
  • H.E. Anthony Louis Kon of the Republic of South Sudan
  • H.E. Peter Kakowou Lavahun of the Republic of Sierra Leone
  • H.E. Chiranjib Sarker of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
  • H.E. Erika Álvarez Rodríguez of the Dominican Republic
  • H.E. Kan Yaw Kiong of the Republic of Singapore

While receiving their credentials, President William Ruto, reaffirmed the nation’s enduring commitment to deepening bilateral and multilateral partnerships rooted in mutual interest, shared prosperity, and global cooperation.

The newly-assigned diplomats were warmly welcomed and assured of Kenya’s full support during their tenure.

“We will keep growing and strengthening our diplomatic footprints across the globe in pursuit of our mutual interest, benefit and prosperity,” stated President Ruto.

The presentation of credentials marks the beginning of a new chapter in diplomatic relations with each of these countries. Kenya looks forward to fruitful engagements in areas including trade, investment, security, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.

The Government of Kenya conveyed its best wishes to the envoys as they embark on their tour of duty, with optimism that their presence will further enhance the spirit of cooperation and understanding between Kenya and their respective nations.
