President William Ruto hosted FKF Premier League champions Kenya Police F.C. and their women’s team, Kenya Police Bullets, at State House Nairobi in recognition of their recent league victories.

The teams were feted for clinching the top spots in the FKF Premier League and FKF Women’s Premier League respectively, marking a historic achievement for the disciplined forces’ sports outfits.

In his remarks, the President lauded the Kenya Police Service for its outstanding role in nurturing elite sports talent across football, athletics, and volleyball.

He underscored the importance of blending national service with sporting excellence, emphasizing that the police have proven themselves not only as custodians of security but also as a force in the country’s sporting arena.

“The Kenya Police are our sporting powerhouse — producing not only gifted footballers but also consummate athletes. Their victories inspire a generation and uplift the morale of our disciplined forces,” said President Ruto.

The Head of State reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the welfare of police officers, including through initiatives that promote inclusivity, talent development, and national pride.

The recognition event served as a symbol of the evolving role of national institutions in youth empowerment and community engagement through sports.

It also sent a strong message of encouragement to other state agencies to invest in talent and wellness among their ranks.
