The Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of all Kenyans, even as the country anticipates planned public demonstrations in various parts of the country.
In a message of assurance and unity, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, has called upon citizens to go about their daily activities without fear, reiterating that security agencies remain fully deployed to safeguard lives, property, and livelihoods.
“As you go about your daily activities, be assured your safety and the protection of your livelihoods is our top priority,” CS Murkomen stated.
At the same time, the CS acknowledged the constitutional right of every Kenyan to assemble, demonstrate and picket, underscoring the importance of maintaining peace and adhering to the law.
“For those who will turn up to exercise their constitutional right to demonstrate, we urge them to do so peacefully and unarmed as provided for in our laws,” added Murkomen.
The interior boss also emphasized that peace is a shared responsibility and a cornerstone of national development.
Security agencies have also reiterated that any unlawful conduct, acts of violence, or destruction of property will not be tolerated and that anyone found culpable will face the full force of the law.
The Government continues to urge dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect among all Kenyans as the country strives toward inclusive development and lasting stability.
