Police officers from Nanyuki Police Station, led by the Officer Commanding the Station (OCS), conducted a search operation in Majengo Village, Laikipia County, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), the suspects were found in possession of assorted items suspected to have been stolen during the protests.
“Among the items recovered were twenty single shoes of different sizes, believed to have been taken from a Bata shop, seven packs of hair braids, suspected to be from Bestlady Cosmetics, six pairs of socks, seven bulb holders, one sealing tape branded ‘Bestlady Cosmetics Ltd’, two pieces of sewing thread and two computer power cables,” NPS revealed.
Additionally, the officers recovered one modified pressure machine, approximately 350 pieces of NSP kits, suspected to have been looted from LifeCare Chemist and assorted wheel spanners.
“The suspects were placed in custody pending processing and arraignment, while the recovered items were secured at the station as exhibits,” the Police Service stated.
“The National Police Service remains committed to recovering all stolen property and apprehending all perpetrators through continued intelligence-led operations,” NPS reiterated.
