The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board has fined the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) $5,000 (about KSh 650,000) for inappropriate conduct by its players during the CHAN PAMOJA 2024 match that took place on 10th of August 2025, against Kenya at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

The incident, noted by match officials and CAF inspectors, involved actions deemed to be in breach of CAF’s code of conduct, which requires players to uphold discipline and demonstrate respect toward opponents and match officials.

In its official ruling, the Disciplinary Board noted that, “The conduct of the Moroccan players during this match did not meet the expected standards of discipline and sportsmanship required in CAF competitions.”

CAF confirmed that half of the fine $2,500 will be suspended on the condition that no similar offence is committed for the remaining number of days for CHAN 2024.

“Any repetition of such misconduct will result in the suspended amount becoming payable, alongside additional sanctions where necessary,” read the statement.

This decision forms part of CAF’s effort to enforce discipline and maintain the integrity of CHAN PAMOJA 2024, ensuring that teams display professionalism while on the pitch.
